Water-Based vs Oil-Based Fragrance Systems

Water-based fragrance systems use water along with fragrance and typically disperse the fragrance as a fine mist. They generally provide a lighter and softer fragrance experience and are commonly used in smaller or light-duty applications.

Oil-based / waterless fragrance systems use concentrated fragrance oils without adding water. Cold-air or nebulization technology converts the fragrance into very fine particles, providing a richer, more persistent fragrance experience with controlled diffusion.

For commercial ambient scenting, Aroma Infini uses fragrance and diffuser technologies selected according to the space, coverage area and application requirements. Waterless oil-based systems are particularly suitable for larger commercial spaces and HVAC scenting applications, as they do not add humidity to the environment.

In simple terms: Water-based systems offer a lighter mist-based fragrance experience, while oil-based waterless systems are generally better suited for controlled, continuous commercial scenting.
